The two metro lines of Marseille, France, will be renovated and automated. The first train is scheduled for 2021, with complete operation of the two lines expected for 2024.

Medium-height platform screen doors (approximately 1.75 meters) will be installed in stations.

38 driverless rubber-tyre trains will operate on the network. They will be approximately 75m long and will comprise four cars each.

The tender for the engineering is already underway.

Lines 1 and 2 were opened in 1977 and 1984 respectively. The network is 21 km long and has 29 stations.
