On 24 March the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART), Hawaii, and the city’s mayor announced that the first two driverless railcars, supplied by the Ansaldo Honolulu Joint Venture, have arrived at the city’s harbour.
The fully automated line will be 32 km long completed and comprise 21 stations. It will have a fleet of 80 train cars, with approximately 17 four-car trains in operation during peak travel periods. It is projected to have 119,000 daily passengers. Read more →
